Vebego appoints COO for DACH region
Vebego Group announces that Markus Breithaupt, currently CEO of Vebego Facility Services in Germany, is to succeed Giuseppe Santagada as Chief Operations Officer (COO) from 1 January 2024. In his new role, he will represent Vebego Group’s activities in Austria, Germany and Switzerland (DACH).

Three years ago, Vebego started a major transition from many small companies in four countries to the establishment of 11 large companies in four segments; cleaning, facility management, landscaping and healthcare. They operate as strong, independent companies within the Group framework, which emphasises on achieving impact and encouraging entrepreneurship.
Markus Breithaupt is a highly experienced executive who joined Vebego in the beginning of 2022, after the acquisition of Hectas. He has led the Hectas Group for 11 years and has been a director in Facility Management for more than 25 years. Under his management, Hectas developed into a solid and professional top 20 player in its markets.

Giuseppe Santagada, the current COO for the DACH region, will leave Vebego at the end of this year. Ton Goedmakers: “He has been a huge contributor to the transformation of our organisation.
